Fun Project for kids

HOW TO MAKE A TWISTER IN A BOTTLE

Materials:

1. Waterproof Glue
2. 2 pop bottle caps
3. A drill with 5/16 in drill bit (and a grown-up to help you)
4. Two 2-liter plastic pop bottles (clear)
5. Water colored w/ food coloring.
6. Duct tape

Steps:
1. Take the two caps and stick them together with waterproof glue.
2. After the glue dries, make a hole through the caps with the drill.
Make sure to have a grown-up to help you)
3. Fill the bottle 3 quarters full of water then screw the cap on it.
4. On the other side of the cap, screw the other bottle.
5. The 2 pop bottles will now look like the number eight.
6. Wrap the duct tape middle of bottles so that between the 2 caps is sealed.
Your twister is finished.

Conclusion:
Now turn the bottom bottle with the water in it up and shake the bottle in a spiral motion. As you shake the twister maker the warm air from the bottom rises up as the cool air from the top is forced down, making a tornado. You can put it in science collection or do what you want with it.
