Michael, Jenni and the girls arrived here safely on June 9th after driving from South Dakota for 17 straight hours. I don't know how they did it. I know that I could never go that far with children. We have been enjoying visiting and playing with the girls. Sammy has been enjoying chasing the girls all over outside and inside.
Dad and I left for our trip to Spokane on Thursday, June 18th. We stayed with James, Amber and the their children on Thursday Night and had a good visit with them. We stayed in their new bedroom downstairs. They have done a great job on their basement and it was fun to see it. As usual we enjoyed their new puppies and have some good pictures of them. On Friday we drove the rest of the way to Spokane for the weekend to stay with Dave, Tiffani and their four children. Saturday June 20th was Sarah's 8th Birthday and also her baptism day. It was a fun day to enjoy the grandchildren and at the same time be able to be there for Sarah's Birthday and baptism. The baptism was well attended by friends, bishop and family. It was held in their Stake Center. I gave the talk on Baptism and Dad gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. Tiffani sang the song; If the Savior Stood Beside Me. Dave Baptized and Confirmed Sarah. She received a lovely blessing. After the baptism we went to their ward building and had a picnic in the Pavilion. Friends and family were there and we enjoyed good food, visiting, watching the children try to hit the Pinata. Our very good friends Craig and Tammy Mecham came and we enjoyed visiting with them. It was a great activity. It had been raining off and on since we arrived but the weather for those events was perfect. I loved the Sun; it was warm and pleasant. We are getting tired of the rain. We sang Happy Birthday to Sarah and then enjoyed the cake and ice cream. On Sunday we attended church and then had a nice dinner and in the late afternoon headed back home. We stayed the night in Missula and then drove into Idaho Falls on Monday and stopped at James and Amber's for dinner. We arrived home around 9:30pm. It was a fast but fun trip. We are back with Michael, Jenni and the girls. On Wednesday Jun. 24th we went up to Heber City to watch Jonathan's baseball game. We took Alyssa and Emma with us. We had a good time there and tried to take some pictures; but our camera battery was low so we were only able to get a couple of pictures. Michael and Jenni slipped a way for a couple of days; so we are enjoying taking care of the girls.
PS. We took our dog Sammy with us on the trip to Spokane. He made friends with the two pups at James and Amber's. There names are Scout and Bandit. One is a male and one is a female; they are Dachhounds Dogs. Anyway, they were both smaller than Sammy and he would jump up on the couch to get a way from them and when the one dog would jump at him; he would jump back; it was really funny. Then he made two more friends with two pups of Dave and Tiffani's. One is a female named Choe and the other is a male named buddy. The female dog was smaller than Sammy and she ruled. He had some bad behavior especially with the male dog; we will need to work on that one.He wasn't as afraid of them and they chased each other all over the place. Sammy was really good with traveling; so I guess he will go with us on any trips we may take.
