Family Fun Moments ~ January 2014

January 2014 was a great month for some super family moments

Dad and I had a quiet New Year's Day. We actually got to sleep in a bit. This is especially unusual for Dad to sleep in. We did stay up rather late on New Year's Eve watching a couple of movies and bringing the New Year in with Salt Lake celebrations on TV. 

We are looking forward to a wonderful New Year~

On Wednesday, January 15th!

We received the word that Jackson had received his Mission call. We left to drive up to

 Heber City for the letter opening and celebration for his mission call~ 

Of course, here is Jackson, hiding from the camera. He was so cute! It took a while for everyone to gather so meanwhile, he hung onto his mission envelope. I know he was feeling anxious as we were too.

Jackson read his call and he was called to serve in the Omaha, Nebraska Mission. He will report to the Mission Training Center on March 19th 2014~ 

Everyone was so excited for him. I think this will be a great mission for him. He will be right there the middle of the Pioneer Church History. He will be near to where the Savior will come to New Jerusalem. Grandpa and I would love to serve our future mission in that area. He will also be close to Brandon, Christina and their family in Peculiar, Missouri.

January 25th - 2014~

After our temple shift we packed up and left for Sugar City, Idaho. We decided to go up for the weekend and see our sweet new Granddaughter, Haven. We met Travis, Amanda and family plus James, Amber and family at Pizza Pie in Rexburg.
