Our precious granddaughter Averi turns twelve today. She has been learning so much in the last 12 years. Her life started out rough with the diagnosis of Osteopetrosis at 4 months of age. She spent about 5 months in the hospital. Since her bone marrow transplant she has done very well. We love this young girl so much. She is always a joy to be around. She is always smiling and generally always happy. She has been learning many things. She is blind but has a tiny bit of sight. She is learning to get a round well. Although she has some mental challenges; she amazes us with ways that she can use numbers. The one that really boggles our mind is; you can tell her your birthday date and she will tell you the day of the week your birthday is on. Thus far she never misses and it can be anyone that asks. She can be very entertaining. She also plays the Piano by ear. Lately we have loved that she likes to snuggle with us.
Here she is enjoying the hammock.
We are sending lots of love and hugs to our amazing Ave.
