Happy New Year to you all! We want each of you to know how much we love you. We pray that you will all have a wonderful and prosperous New Year. We will look forward to seeing all of you at some moment through this year. We know that we have 4 baptisms coming up and we are looking forward to those events. We are most grateful that all of you have a firm testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No matter what may come those testimonies will be an anchor for your life experiences.
The deep love that we have for all of you can not compare to the love that your Heavenly Father and Savior have for each one of you.We pray that you have felt that love. We know that each of you are precious sons and daughters of our Heavenly Parents. We pray that you can feel and know that this is true. We have decided that it is a good goal to read our patriarchal blessings at the first of the year and perhaps see where we are now and evaluate where we should be. I hope all of you will take that challenge to read your blessings. These are your personal scriptures from a loving Heavenly Father. Here are a couple of scriptures to look up to emphasis some of our thoughts. In Romans 8: 16, 35, 38-39.
We are in challenging times and we know that it is a difficult time to be raising children. It will require more than even what we as parents tried to do while raising you.
Here is a quote that impressed us. "Growing up spiritually requires faith, great diligence, and patience. It takes maturity to look forward to those things that have eternal consequences...Growing up spiritually requires us to see beyond our own desires and to enlarge our way of seeing things. We not only have to let go of our selfishness but sometimes let go of things we want very badly to come to understand our Heavenly Father's point of view.-Janette C.
Find ways that you can teach your children to know and feel the Spirit of the Holy Ghost. Live worthy of that blessing yourselves and you will be guided in every aspect of your lives and will learn our Heavenly Father's will for you.
Look to the Savior and pray always. Heavenly Father does hear and answers our prayers and we know that this is true. Always keep the faith and always believe in miracles.

With great love we send these thoughts! Dad and Mom (Grandpa and Grandma)
